about me

Born in 1981, coming from a musical family, I launched my career as a trombonist playing euphonium, trombone or drums while still in my teens.
So I performed since 1989 in various big bands, orchestras and funk & soul bands in and around Schwäbisch Hall (Germany). From that my musical career developted further by starting studying the trombone in 1996.
This led to my professional debut the same year at the Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall. In the following years I went on to study classical trombone at the music academy Dinkelsbuehl/Bavaria; continuing studying jazz trombone at the University of Arts Berlin guided by Professor Jiggs Whigham, Professor Ludwig Nuss, Professor Gerard Presencer, Professor Peter Weniger and Professor Olaf Ott (Berlin Philharmonics).

I graduated in February 2009 and following by lessons with Luis Bonilla in New York City. Since then I toured throughout the world with several bands, orchestras and big bands. Although my main passion is the trombone I enjoy playing the drums.

To deepen my knowledge I moved to Berlin to study trombone at the Jazz Institut of Berlin.
Since then I have been one of Berlins most prominent trombonists for commercial recordings., television, soundtracks and live theater.

I had the chance to contribut on live concerts for many popular artists, including:

Moka Efti Orchestra,
Xavier Naidoo,
Herbert Grönemeyer,
Jimmy Somerville,
Kelly Rowland,
Howard Carpendale,
Rag`n`Bone Man,
Flo Mega & the Ruffcats,
… and many more.
